      agripedia vcdgf555 PaintingSurfer I think it was always only a ~25 year plane given the limited fleet size. That being said, the F-4 only served with the navy for 27 years, and the F-14 served for 31. I wouldn’t be surprised if the F-22 ends up lasting longer than the F-4 did.

    agripedia vcdgf555 PaintingSurfer Also note that I’m hyper loosing the F-4 here, the Wild Weasels served into the mid ‘90s — and the QF-4 was flying until way later.
