Nobody goes back and watches ‘classic’ Netflix films the way they do for old HBO shows. There’s a few early-Netflix shows that fit the bill (OITNB, Bojack) but they aren’t aiming for long-term poignancy.

Netflix cares only about subscriber growth. Until they focus on anything else, all movies will be bland and broad-appeal, all TV shows will last 3 seasons.
