      neilkimmett fgopenstreets This would be cool as hell. I also think we should just adopt the Dutch model and extend sidewalks across the streets that are slow-streets (with a curb cut, meaning cars have to cross the sidewalk to access open streets — designating them as ‘guests’ in the space).

    neilkimmett fgopenstreets It’s way cheaper to drop some concrete and a curb cut down than to bury some fancy motorized posts under the street. And frankly it might be just as effective at signaling ‘this space is not for you to drive through.’ Also effective: UPS and FedEx parking *across* the barriers.
