      Someone was shouting “MOSE, no MOSE, same difference” at his friends while drinking espresso and standing in a half-foot of water. Seems like people are both upset that MOSE wasn’t finished in time because of corruption, and also resigned to the fact that it’s a temporary fix.

        For context, MOSE is a deployable sea wall that is supposed to hold back the worst flood tides as they enter the Venetian lagoon.
