          moondello A couple of things could have helped you: 1. Sometimes in-network rates (particularly those negotiated by a third party between your insurer and the provider) are significantly higher than our of pocket rates.

        moondello 2. They could have run into surprise billing protections, which prevent them from billing you as out of network after saying you were in network. These came into effect in 2017 so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

      moondello 3. They could be very disorganized and have just forgotten to bill you. The statute of limitations in CA is 2 years, IIRC.

    moondello I never would have thought that planning out my technical roadmap would depend on my knowledge of California’s medical statute of limitations but I guess that’s why I’m a PM?
