The iPhone Xs (and the Max) have an extra antenna break on the lower left corner, creating asymmetry. In probably-related news, there’s now only one LTE band that varies among the global models.

For the first time, there’s only one iPhone model sold in the US — A1920. Previously, Verizon or Sprint and some regional carriers would use a separate phone. (It’s worth noting that GSM models will still ship with CDMA disabled, but that won’t matter past EOY ‘19)

Basically, the days of worrying whether your phone will work in a different country are over. The closest we’ve ever been was the 4S, which was the last iPhone before LTE arrived. Presumably the emergence of 5G in the next 18mo will restart this cycle.
